Night Mode - ONLY NOUGAT 7.0 2.0.2

Note: Night Mode Tile is back for Android 7.1, but it's not the same as in Android 7.0. We'll make it much better very soon!

Note: This app enables the night mode when it is installed on Android 7.0 and when installed on 7.1, it functions as a screen filter called Night Mode.

Would you like to have the Night Mode Quick Tile on Android Nougat 7.0? It seems like it's hidden. With this app, you can get access to that awesome Night Mode Quick Tile to save your eyes!

In the pre-release version of Android Nougat, the night mode feature was visible, allowing Nexus handsets to function more efficiently at night or in low-light situations. Unfortunately, the feature was hidden before the final release. However, with the help of this app, you can bring back this feature.

1. Download the Night Mode Enabler App:
   You just need to download a small free application from the Play Store to unlock the feature. The best part of the Night Mode Enable application is that it does not require root access to modify the blue light feature on Android 7.0 Nougat.
2. Enable Android System UI Tuner:
   After launching the application for the first time, it will prompt you to activate the Android System UI Tuner from the Quick Settings Menu. Slide down the notification bar, press the Setting gear icon, and hold it until it starts spinning.
3. Activate Night Mode:
   Return to the Night Mode Enable app and then tap on the single button in the center of the screen. You will be taken to the hidden Night Mode settings in the System UI Tuner. Click on the Night Mode icon to enable warmer colors on the screen for a more pleasant night viewing experience.

Avoiding the blues! Scientific research suggests that blue light emitted by smartphone and tablet displays can disrupt sleep patterns. This is due to blue light wavelengths stimulating parts of the brain that control alertness, leading our brains to believe it's still daytime. This can make it difficult to get enough sleep after using your phone or tablet late in the evening.

The Night Mode feature addresses this issue by reducing blue light and increasing red tones on your smartphone's screen to minimize disruptions to brain activity. While not a guaranteed solution, it's a step toward reducing blue light exposure.

Note: On Android 7.1 and higher, this feature is officially integrated into the operating system as Night Light. However, this function requires specific drivers and is only available on Pixel and Pixel XL devices (and newer models). Therefore, this will not work on Nexus devices running that version. But this app offers an alternative that utilizes overlay in Android 7.1 (Do not download if you are not interested in overlay!)
